Temporary Roof Scaffolding

The essential task of any roof system is to protect the structure and equipment from the effects of weather and other elements. Here at Gables scaffolding we offer our temporary roof scaffolding solutions to clients wanting to protect their roof.

All our operatives are continually measured on performance to ensure that we maintain the highest levels of quality & safety no matter of the scale of the project.

Safety

Risk assessments and method statements are conducted for all sites and we employ the services of an external independent H&S consultant to ensure that we comply.

Insured

We hold a comprehensive insurance cover policy that contains a public & private indemnity excess of £1 million. We have never need it, but it is there when we do.

Temporary roof protection

Temporary roofs are typically sheeted using keder sheets that are installed in tracks, but can also be sheeted using corrugated iron, or aluminium cladding sheets. For more irregularly shaped roofs, we can use shrink wrapping to provide a perfect neat finish to a roof of any shape or size.

For critical construction or refurbishment projects that require protection from the elements, we can install temporary roofing scaffolds to provide all-year-round weather protection. Temporary roofs can span anything up to 40m, can be erected using a crane, or can be installed with a rolling track to aid installation and reduce hire costs for phased work.

What areas can you use temporary roof scaffolding?

Protection over the works area means that minimum time is lost due to bad weather, allowing for faster project completion and subsequent costs savings.

  • Property Re-roofing / Refurbishment – An access scaffold with a high level weather proof covering keeps new works and the existing structure dry whilst work is completed.
  • Protection of Fire Damaged Buildings – During structural repairs and / or where the roof has been totally or partially destroyed.
  • Virtual Warehousing / Buildings – Using a temporary roof and sheeting over scaffolding to create a temporary waterproof indoor work area.
  • Covered Access Roads / Routes – Next to and around construction sites with netting placed overhead to protect against falling debris from works above
